Kategorie: Audi A6 Avant TFSI Ladekabel

The Audi A6 TFSI e and A6 Avant TFSI e are executive plug-in hybrid saloon and estate variants built on the same platform and sharing identical charging hardware. The A6 is the saloon; the A6 Avant is the estate. A significantly updated generation arrived in 2025 under the new e-hybrid quattro designation, bringing a larger battery, a faster onboard charger, and a meaningfully longer electric range. Both generations and both body styles are covered here. The Type 2 charging port on the previous-generation A6 TFSI e Saloon is located on the left front flank; on the previous-generation A6 Avant TFSI e it sits on the right rear quarter. On the new 2025 e-hybrid, both the Saloon and Avant move the port to the left rear quarter.

Previous generation: A6 TFSI e Saloon and Avant (until 2025)

The outgoing A6 TFSI e pairs a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 220 kW (299 PS) and 450 Nm. Battery is 17.9 kWh gross with 14.4 kWh usable, giving a WLTP electric range of up to 43 miles (69 km) for the Saloon and up to 41 miles (66 km) for the Avant. The onboard AC charger is 7.4 kW, single-phase. There is no DC rapid charging. A full charge from empty takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes at a 7.4 kW wallbox. The 0–62 mph time is 6.3 seconds for both body styles.

New generation: A6 e-hybrid Saloon and Avant (2025 onwards)

The 2025 A6 e-hybrid retains the same 2.0-litre TFSI engine and electric motor combination but with a substantially upgraded battery: 25.9 kWh gross and 20.7 kWh net, a 45% increase over the previous model. Combined system output is 220 kW (299 PS) with 450 Nm of torque and 0–62 mph in 6.0 seconds. WLTP electric range rises to up to 64 miles (103 km) for the Saloon and up to 63 miles (101 km) for the Avant. The onboard AC charger steps up to 11 kW, three-phase, with a full charge from empty taking approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no DC rapid charging on this model.

Choosing the right cable

For the previous-generation A6 TFSI e, the 7.4 kW single-phase onboard charger is fully matched by an 11 kW Type 2 cable, which handles the car's maximum AC rate at any public or home charging point. For the new 2025 e-hybrid, the same 11 kW Type 2 cable is the correct match for the three-phase 11 kW onboard charger, delivering full charging capacity without restriction. Across both generations, a 22 kW cable is the forward-looking choice: fully compatible today and ready for any future vehicle with 22 kW three-phase AC charging without any change of hardware.

Cable length

Port location varies by generation and body style, so it is worth checking before settling on a length. The previous-generation Saloon has its port on the left front flank, making nose-in parking to the wallbox the natural approach; the previous-generation Avant has its port on the right rear quarter, which suits reversing on the right-hand side. On both variants of the new 2025 e-hybrid, the port moves to the left rear quarter, so reversing to the wallbox works in most home setups. For everyday home use, a 6 metre cable covers the vast majority of configurations comfortably. For public charging, where bay layouts and post positions vary widely, an 8 metre cable provides reliable reach across most stations. If you regularly encounter locations with greater distance between the post and your parking space, 10 and 15 metre options are also available. For dedicated or commercial installations, Voldt® supplies cables up to 40 metres.

Portable charging with a CEE charger

A portable CEE charger extends your charging options to any location with an industrial socket, whether at a campsite, a rural property, or a workplace. On the previous-generation A6 TFSI e, the 7.4 kW single-phase ceiling means a 16A single-phase CEE socket (3.7 kW) delivers a full charge in around 4 hours, while both a 16A and a 32A three-phase CEE socket supply the full 7.4 kW from a single phase, completing the charge in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. On the new 2025 e-hybrid, a 16A three-phase CEE socket delivers the car's full 11 kW AC rate and completes a charge from empty in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes; a 16A single-phase CEE socket drops the rate to 3.7 kW and extends the charge time to around 5 hours 40 minutes; a 32A three-phase socket charges at the same 11 kW rate as the 16A three-phase, finishing in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Portable chargers are available from 3.7 kW to 22 kW, and all options are compatible with both generations.
